8" Square Foot Drape Mold by glassartbysusan on June 7, 2012 5 stars
Pros
My mom ordered this but had it shipped to me, so before sending it on to her, I gave it a try and now I am in the process of ordering one for myself. This project turned out so fantastic I just love it. The mold is easy to use and once I figured out the firing schedule that worked with my kiln, I have had no trouble with it. I have the round foot drape molds, but I like this better since I don't have to cut circles.
Cons
Not really a con, but it was a learning curve to figure out the firing schedule so that it draped enough without over draping.

Replacement Head For Creator's Glass Tools by addicted2glassfusion on June 6, 2012 5 stars
Pros
This is the best cutting tool I own and it makes it easy to get straight lines consistently. The cost is reasonable.
Cons
These seem to wear out a little faster than my previous cutting system.
Other Thoughts
I will continue using the beetle cutter and highly recommend it. The replacement heads are worth it.

Fuseworks Microwave Kiln by Ekaterina A on June 3, 2012 5 stars
Pros
For a project I needed opal glass nuggets from 10 to 15 mm (approximately) and the ready-made were not quite good - limited colors do not allow to create "shadowed" realistic effect. With this small kiln I solved my problem easily. Allows to make 3-5 nuggets at a time even with the simplest microwave I used - 650 watts or so. It's simple, handy, inexpensive and allows to create some small but interesting details for a stained glass project if you need something like a bud or a bee and do not want (or there is just no space) the soldered lines.
Cons
None so far.

17 Gauge High Temp Wire by Darkhollow on June 2, 2012 5 stars
Pros
This wire worked well in a 1500 degree F firing. It kept it's shape and strength.
Cons
The wire is a bit dull for jewelry work.

Nick's Grinders Mate by slsinclair on May 30, 2012 4 stars
Pros
Great tool for handling small pieces and excellent for those who find it difficult to grip the glass due to strength or getting cramp.
Cons
Ensure your grinder head is set higher or you will be positioning the glass against the non-abrasive part of the head. It is not a problem if you are aware of it.
Other Thoughts
I wouldn't be without one and my students love it.

Premium Rainbow on Black - 90 COE by Lauri.rhoades on May 29, 2012 5 stars
Pros
This glass is gorgeous and the 4x4 piece I received looks just like the photo shown (give or take a little with width of some colors). Smooth glass cuts easily. Colors hold true after firing.
Cons
Other Thoughts
You know how some manufacturers show a photo of the entire 19 or 20" piece, then you just get a tiny piece of the pattern in your 4x4? Well, that's not the case here. A minimum of 1/2 of the 4 x 4 sheet had these nice thin streaks of color, but it was most often 3/4 of the piece with the thin streaks. I ordered 5 pieces and they are all lovely!

2" Fiber Strip - 12 Feet by lsebring on May 29, 2012 5 stars
Pros
These are a great value for the money - straight edges and unlike other fiber paper I have used they are durable. I have found I can reuse some up to four times.
Cons
None that come to mind.

Nano Beads Mold by CindyGimbrone on May 29, 2012 4 stars
Pros
Love the small size of the beads. Mold is compact and can fit into a relatively small kiln. Don't need alot of glass to make the beads.
Cons
Can be difficult to coat the posts of the mold. I suggest using an extra coat of MR-97 to make sure you've coated the posts completely. Directions for the amount of glass given in grams. Wish a measurement cup in grams was included or available for purchase.
Other Thoughts
Overall, I like the mold. The first time I used it one of the square beads stuck at the post. I was able to pop it out with a small tool but the post popped out with it. The rest of the mold is still usable. Despite this, I like the mold and would recommend others to buy it if you want to make small fused glass rings.

Heart Trio Earring & Pendant Jewelry Mold by CindyGimbrone on May 29, 2012 4 stars
Pros
The hardest part of using the molds is coating them with release agents. The molds are deep and the post is hard to coat evenly. The first time I used the molds, I used MR-97 spray and coated 4 times instead of the recommended two times. It's hard to see the white spray on the white mold but use short bursts of spray and it shouldn't look wet. If you coat the mold properly, the finished pieces slide out and are perfect! I've used the mold twice, the second use, I brushed out the old coating and sprayed the mold with two coats instead of the recommended one - just to be sure I coated the posts. The mold makes a pretty pendant and earrings set at a reasonable price. Love it!
Cons
Deep mold can make it difficult to coat the posts evenly. Work slowly and thoroughly and you should have no trouble.
Other Thoughts
Reasonable cost for a pendant and earring set. I like the mold very much.

Three Small Bottle Slumper Mold by rattfink on May 27, 2012 5 stars
Pros
Quality made, no uneven finishing. Worth the higher price, it will pay for itself pretty quickly in my opinion if you sell your creations.
Cons

Mastercraft 60/40 Solder - 1 lb. by Joneser721 on May 24, 2012 4 stars
Pros
Great flow & fairly easy to work with. Makes very uniform solder joints with ease. A very economical solder, it performs as good as others do. Definitely will be picking up some more.
Cons
Never seems to last as you want it too! Other than that I cant think of any drawbacks Ive encountered while using it.

DichroMagic Tie Dye Combo Pack On Thin Clear - 90 COE by Rhona on May 23, 2012 5 stars
Pros
Loved the bright colors and patterns. Especially liked in the tie die funky. Made some fantastic pendants with it. I wanted to rush out and purchase more after I saw how vibrant the colors were when I took them out of the kiln. I think they are even brighter then other dirchoic glass.
Cons
The only bad thing I have to say and it really isn't bad is that the glass was unpredictable in the kiln. I had to increase the temperature & length of the soak to make it fuse with the 90 base glass. Also, some of the coatings crinkled a lot and others not so much. Overall you will find it crinkles a lot more than other dichro. I preferred not capping the glass with clear.
Other Thoughts
Would definitely recommend this sample pack if you are bored working with other dichro out there and you want to try something new in your jewellery pieces. You can make a lot out of the 12 pcs. you receive.
