Product Reviews
Pros
I use this iron with lead free solder and it makes a very even bead. I am surprised at how well it works without a rheostat and how fast it heats up. I have used it for a couple projects already and it has yet to let me down!
Cons
The handle does get a bit hot, but not overly so that I have to stop soldering.
Other Thoughts
I got this iron as part of a starter pack here. I would recommend it for its low price and good quality.
Pros
Cuts easily; fuses fine.
Cons
No change in color when fused.

Pros
Don't judge this glass by the color it is before firing. I did not realize it is a striker until I fired it. It is the most TRUE yellow and is beautiful.
I am so hooked on it.

Great starter kit. It'll get you hooked on a bigger kiln but you'll still want to keep this one for small firings. Love it!

I created a round panel with this bevel so that I could have a piece of vacation at home. It's beautiful and one I receive the most compliments on.

Pros
I love this flux! I just pour what I need in a little jar. After soldering my project, if there's any left over I just cover the jar with a lid to save what's left over. This way there's no contamination of the rest of the flux. I think that's the biggest advantage of liquid flux over paste flux. I use the cheap disposable brushes to apply it, and I've had no problems.
Cons
"Mold" does seem to develop on the solder after a while, but this problem is easily remedied by polishing the project with carnauba wax.

Pros
I do a lot of strip cutting, and after an hour of cutting strips with a regular cutter, my hand aches. With this I can use either hand, a few fingers, whatever, so that it's not that same repetitive motion over and over.

I created a beautiful panel with these hummingbirds. It is by far my favorite bevel cluster to date.
