Canfield is a long-standing name on solder spools in stained glass studios. Their range covers the standard alloys - 60/40 for a forgiving working range while you learn to run a bead, 63/37 for a crisp, quick set on detailed work - along with Quik Set for faster tacking and Silvergleem, a lead-free alloy that stays bright.
Lead-free matters for pieces that will be handled regularly, used near food, or made for children. Delphi carries Canfield in half-pound and full-pound spools.
