I've been working with glass about 10 years. I am mostly self taught and have only recently started taking classes in Houston. Starting with jewelry creations and now expanding to slighlty larger works. I enjoy the larger pallet to work with but continue working mainly as a jewelry artist.

Cons
Would like to see Delphi give dimension of iron and how high the legs are from the table surface. Would help the user identify what size could be best suited.

Other Thoughts
Purchased while on sale which made it an even sweeter deal. I keep wrapped separate to help minimize scratches to iron. But feel it doesn't scratch easily.

Pros
Good value for the money. Stable, sturdy, coating looks and feels nice. (See my 8" Stand review for more details)

Cons
The iron is square. Delphi should provide the diameter of the iron used to help user decide the size of piece it could hold.

Other Thoughts
The legs are about 2 1/4" from the table surface and your glass will sit about 2 1/2" of table surface. All sizes except the 6" have the same length of legs. Delphi could also provide those dimensions.

8" Versatile Stand

Pros
This iron stand is a good value for the money. The welds are smooth and well connected. The coating seems durable. They travel to my shows, but I keep them wrapped separate to minimize scratching. Stability wise, it can hold a piece much larger than it's measurements. The iron is square and is about 3/8" in diameter making it sturdy. It would be beneficial if Delphi would provide the exact diameter of the iron itself in all the descriptions as it makes a difference in the piece that is set on it. Slight possibility of seeing the touch point if the glass is light opaque.

Cons
Not in quality. Delphi could provide the diameter of the iron in each stand.

Other Thoughts
Sits flat on surface. Also is even across if your glass is square. Your glass sits about 2 1/2" off table surface when on the stand. Could be important if your piece is odd shaped and dips down irregularly and is not straight across. (Hard to describe.)

Taurus 3 Mega Blade Kit

Pros
Mega blade, mega cut density. Great blade for thick fired pieces of glass. Personally have only cut up to 6-8 mm thick glass, but can't see why it wouldn't cut for example pattern bars. As all diamond blades,they are best when first installed. Suggest bigger projects or thicker glass be cut first when you install a new blade. Much sharper and faster. But depending on how much you actually cut, can last a decent time period. The blade is hard to break, very sturdy. I've used Taurus 10+ years and only broke 3. Two of which I used so long that I had to push with great force to cut through the glass and the force actually broke the blade (guess I wore off all the diamonds :)). The other time, I was pretty novice and tried to make too many intricate turns too fast. Makes good straight cuts, recommend blade stabilizer be used on older model saws. Helps to keep the cut straight. Can make intricuts, straighter is better and slower is better than faster (movement).

Cons
No diamond blade at these prices last long enough, right? Only slightly harder to install than the round blade.

Other Thoughts
I'm a Taurus user and never had any other saw. So I have no comparison to saws or blades. I own two.

Silver Plate Oval Link Bracelet - 2 Pack

Pros
Durable, hearty link bracelet. Good value! I like the weight, it feels substantial. Others carry a lighter version of this. As an experiment for coating durability, I wore this 1 month constant, sweating, swimming, showering, etc and no change is color. Links can be removed fairly easily for smaller size adjustment.

Cons
They used to be sold in two lengths which was handy if you didn't want to add a couple extra loops (which makes it a little off balance). Other than that, I didn't feel there were any.

Other Thoughts
When gluing, use a 2 part epoxy for better, longer lasting hold. Consider roughing up the blank a little with a dremel for extra staying power.

I just recently completed a 4 day class held in Houston with Donna. It was one of the best things I've ever spent my money on. She is intelligent, focused and creative. The information she gave here is the same that she gives in class. And you got it free from Delphi. Take her advice. It is very helpful. I have already taken some of what she shared in this article and already feel better about my art and the direction I want to go. Donna is a great teacher and wants to share her love of the art. Pros
I like the size. Sturdy, sits on table even without rocking. Nice finish if it holds up after traveling from show to show. Simple design shows glass and does not distract. Good display especially when purchased during a sale event!

Cons
Nothing I have found as yet.

Other Thoughts
This can hold a fairly large piece of glass. Know your glass size and test for larger sizes. It's unobtrusive and I really like that!

Pros
I really like this product. Very typical of glass stands, very plain, doesn't take away from the glass, sturdy. I think it fits a slightly larger piece of glass better so the versatility of that is more appealing to me. Finish seems good, hasn't chipped or anything yet. I travel to shows and it's been thru 3 so far. Hope it will continue to hold the finish without chipping.

Cons
Can hold glass larger than 5" and be a tighter fit. Seems to me the fit of glass should be tighter, but tha is not necessarily a bad thing.

Other Thoughts
The price is higher than I would like to pay. Not much more metal than a regular stand and would like to see the price drop or buy during a sale.

Taurus 3 Slicer Blade Kit

Pros
You can use this for thick slab cutting. Be careful as the blade is not as sturdy as a mega blade. This does not eat up as much glass but has a tendency to bend while cutting. You must compensate during the cut. Gently! But it still holds up well with many, many cuts without problems of breaking.

Cons
It flexes during the cut which means it doesn't keep a straight line for a slab cut. You must compensate for that.

Other Thoughts
Doesn't eat up too much glass during cutting. I really like the mega blade better for cutting straight cuts on slabs. They all cost about the same.

I use this all the time in my jewelry designing with dichroic glass. It gives great results. Easy to use and is very quick. You are only limited to your imagination. It doesn't take much so it lasts a long time (in jewelry anyway.)

Cons
Not any really. Just leave on at least minimal amount of time.

Other Thoughts
Use with or without stencils for fine details.

I like these for my cab earrings. The gold doesn't wear off easily. I have used for years and have no complaints about the gold wearing off. They are small enough to use for small earrings.

Cons
I don't feel there are any. Except of course with any glue on finding there is a possibility of it falling off.

I recommend using for cab earrings.

Be careful of the size of premade chain you use. Sometimes the clasp won't go thru.

To be used for your tiniest pendants because the bail is small. Keeps the dainty look to smaller pendants. Not over bearing to the piece.

The perfect size for all most earrings. If I worked with any smaller glass than this fits, then my own fingers can't handle the size. They are of good quality as their matching counter part pendant bails. Easier than drilling holes in glass.

Cons
As in all glue on bails, a possible risk of them separating from the glass earring (or other material).

Other Thoughts
Use these for all my flat cabachon earrings. Must use enough glue and the right glue to hold. Good quality product. Silver holds up, never chips, looks professional.

Silver doesn't wear or chip off. Good quality for the money. Designed to really hold glue and adhere to your piece. Simple as to not distract from your piece. Solid and durable. Looks clean and professional.

Cons
Can't think of anything.

Other Thoughts
I use this in all my glue on bail work, even over the solid sterling silver. It looks as good and keeps the cost down for the customer who purchases my jewelry. I use this and the small bails in all my glue on work. Highly recommend.

It's a great selling item in my business. Good construction. Uniform appearance.

Cons
Pay attention to the warning that comes with it. Gases from wine will corrode the stopper. But this is the same for all stoppers of this type.
