Product Description

Say Goodbye to Hand Fatigue!
Finally a super portable cutter that practically scores glass by itself! The Cutter's Mate Mini has a foam cushioned, weighted handle that eliminates the strain of grasping a traditional slim cutter. The weighted handle rotates 360º and applies all the pressure you'll need to effortlessly produce a perfect score. It's so easy, you can even score glass while sitting down!

The easy-glide system keeps the cutter head at a constant 90º angle to the glass, practically eliminating bad breaks. Quick, easy set-up for right or left handed use. The 11" clear Lexan cutter arm can score a straight line up to 22" long and swings out of the way when not in use. Ships and stores easily in a 13" x 13" x 3" box as shown.

Cutter's Mate Mini includes 2 Waffle Grid, 13-1/2" Slide Bar, 2 Grid Adapters, Cutter Arm Attachment with the CSG-10 oil-fed carbide cutting head and rubber feet for use on tabletops. Made in the U.S.A. One year manufacturer warranty.

For even more versatility, easily expand your work surface with additional Waffle Grid sections #5425 (sold separately).

  •   Excellent but…

Pros : Works great!
Cons : The arm works better on the table than it does in the grid. In the grid it wants to tip over more.
Other Thoughts : It’s excellent but I wish I had gotten the larger one. Sometimes this one doesn’t have the reach I wished it had. Don’t push down, let the weighted cutter do its work. This is great for my arthritis. Also, it has taught me how to cut better when I use my had cutter. I am better about keeping the wheel completely perpendicular on the line.

I got interested in stained glass by admiring the work of my wifes uncle this past Thanksgiving Holiday and am taking a class after the first of the year. I am at a crossroads however as my wifes uncle prefers the pen type cutter and my instructor prefers the "pistol grip" type cutter. My instructor states that better control is achieved with the pistol grip versus the pen type. These two opinions come from people who have been working with stained glass for about 12 years. I would like a non biased opinion to help make a decision on purchasing a cutter since I would like to spend enough money to get the best as I believe that a good cutter would make the hobby much more enjoyable. Thanks for your time. Selecting a cutter is a

Saws are great for cutting glass, but sometimes, it’s a more precise cut we need for an obscurely-shaped piece. When you want to make circles with glass or cut out unusual shapes for your stained glass project, what should you use? Many glass artists loathe cutting circles because it is so difficult to make it just right. Fortunately, you don’t need to scrap any glass project that contains circles anymore because the Silberschnitt Pro Circle Cutter is just what you need. This German-engineered product uses a strong suction cup to hold onto the glass. You’ll need to make sure the glass is stationary on your cutting area so that it doesn’t move. Then you can set the Silberschnitt Pro Circle Cutter to the width of your desires. To make that perfect circle, you’ll need to apply continuous pressure as you cut. The 6-wheel cutting turret is designed to make flawless
