  •   works well
By on
Pros : These nippers work about as well as all the others I’ve bought over the years. every pair I've owned, one or both wheels come loose time to time. As you figured out, the wheels don't actually "turn" when you snip over and over. They actually stay stationary. This may be why you think they go dull too soon. One trick I do is to make 2, little black dots with a sharp right where the wheels would meet. Every month or so. I manually turn the wheels up a degree or so. This assures me I'm using a new, sharp cutting surface and I just keep doing this over time till they meet in the middle again. Time for new wheels!
Cons : none

  •   Easier than I thought
By on
Pros : They work a lot easier than I thought they would. I am able to control the shape of my piece just by changing the direction of the wheel. I can do somewhat of a curve by making a few indentations in my curve. Not always accurate but works for mosaic.
Cons : Takes a bit of a grip strength for old ladies but its great exercise for the hand. At times the size of the wheel gets in the way of seeing what you are doing.
Other Thoughts : Wish there was a smaller size wheel.

  •   Wheeled Glass Nippers
By on
Pros : I use these for cutting stringers and glass rod. Works well. Wear glasses or goggles in case a few shards go flying. Wheels are sharp. Tool is easy to use
Cons : So far no cons.
Other Thoughts : Others warn re cutting thin glass. I have no opinion on this as I have not used this tool for that function. I am not into mosaics, so no thoughts for that issue either.

Pros : They work, sometimes
Cons : The red handle started to crack and fall apart after 3 uses. I have had to take the red handle off. I would have spent more money on a better product.

  •   Wheel Nippers
By on
Pros : I teach mosaics, so the 10 Nippers I own are in constant use. They are great for cutting small ceramic shape tiles as well as shaping vitreous glass. Sometimes problematic with stained glass that is too thin to fit between the wheels. The wheels DO come loose with usage, but are easy to tighten. Wheels dull quicker than I would like but replacements are inexpensive. Basically a solid and reliable studio tool.
Cons : The plastic coating on the handles frequently split and come off - so I just re-wrap them with duck tape. Not a great solution but it works.

  •   Tile wonders
By on
Pros : These were fantastic. i was wondering how well these would cut. It was a knife through butter. You can easily take scraps and make tiles by the thousands as you sit at a coffee table watching TV.
Cons : Advertising needs to give an idea as to the life of the cutting wheels.
