Sandblaster Set by Julieann on February 20, 2010 4 stars
Pros
The set is great for a beginner like me. I was able to sand blast a perfect design in my glass without too much difficulty. Once I hooked this system up to a compressor instead of the canned air, it worked great! I couldn't have asked for any better.
Cons
The canned air is useless, save your money and use a compressor instead. The canned air becomes cold after just a short time (45 to 60 seconds) and then it looses pressure, you have to stop and wait for the can to get warm again before you can do anymore work. I found this infuriating! I threw the cans away and hooked the system up to a compressor instead.

Spectrum Clear Artique by Anne S on February 19, 2010 5 stars
Pros
Used it as a background. It cut nicely and looks great. Not as "busy" a texture as in the photo.
Cons

Royal Gold - 90 COE by zweygardts on February 18, 2010 4 stars
Pros
Very striking and different from anything out there that I have seen. Cuts beautifully. Great for accents or stand alone.
Cons
Wish it was washable. You have to be careful to not dampen the gold finish or scratch it in anyway.
Other Thoughts
This glass can take a simple slumped dish to the next level.

6" Layout Block System by kggriffin (top contributor) on February 15, 2010 5 stars
Pros
I should have thought of this. This makes keeping your piece square and the right size easy. By using this system, your piece will always fit your frame.
Cons
you can not have closed corners for any other shape than rectangular. I cut the corners of the side that gets pinned to the board at 45 degrees. This was to accommodate the piece I was making that is octangular.
Other Thoughts
The instructions say not to use with a wood board. The pins pull apart when you try to remove them. I used a piece of "green board" which is a type of drywall board found at any big box hardware store. It held the pins well and they were easy to remove. It also took the heat of soldering with no problem.

Step-Up Work Surface by kggriffin (top contributor) on February 15, 2010 4 stars
Pros
This is one item that should come with the grinder. It makes using a 1/4" or 1/8" bit as easy as the bigger bits.
Cons
The water delivery system doesn't work. I found that I had to hold a extra sponge, like the one that comes with the grinder, against the bit when grinding. I would periodically dip the sponge in a bowl of water that I keep next to the grinder. DO NOT use a regular sponge this way. The bit grabs the sponge which can launch the glass you are grinding.

Table Foiler by kggriffin (top contributor) on February 15, 2010 5 stars
Pros
This fioiler works as advertised. Zips through big pieces and greatly cuts foiling time.
Cons
the foiler can leave small places that are not foiled properly, but these are usually easy to fix. Do not forget how to foil by hand, small pieces and tight curves are easier to foil by hand than trying to use the machine.
Other Thoughts
Make sure you read and follow the instructions. the setting to get the foil centered can be touchy. A quarter turn of the wing nut means the difference between centered foil and a bad looking job. It would have been nice if the adjusting screw was fine threads instead of coarse. Make sure that you keep the glass flat on the foiler table. I found it best to start an end each foil at the 9 o'clock position. It helps keep the foil in the wheel.
