10" Round Black Metal Art Stand by DesertOne on November 12, 2008 5 stars
Pros
Very attractive with sturdy construction and finish. Better looking than most. It doesn't look cheap like a lot of others on market. Great price.
Cons
Little variation from one to another, but not a big deal.

Works fine for mixing with Mica powders. You can then paint with them.
Cons
No problems

Gryphon Wet Belt Sander by andie769 on November 1, 2008 4 stars
Pros
I like the speed and the ability to grind glass. The larger surface makes grinding quick.
Cons
The belts do not stay on very easily. They tend to slide off to the left. Would be better if the cover at the top was metal on all sides.

Taurus 3 Slim Blade by kaymt on October 30, 2008 4 stars
Pros
The slim Blade is great. I really enjoy using it better than the standard one. Real nice and easy cutting.
Cons
none for me as yet.

Table Foiler by mark12no on October 30, 2008 5 stars
Pros
If you are doing foiling by hand give it up. It has saved on band-aids!!..I love mine, it has cut down on time.. on large pieces, with light curves..Works on Vary widths of foil..
Cons
Hard to line up foil to get in center of piece. Cannot do small pieces, and very complex curves and small half circles..difficult...

It's something every glass cutter needs in their tool box...The more the better..
Cons
Can not find any thing wrong..

Morton Assembly Tray by CarrieZ on October 29, 2008 5 stars
Pros
Really makes a difference when doing 3D projects. Once my pieces were ready i had an icosahedron put together in minutes.
Cons
Large pieces tend to have too much weight hanging out and the pieces don't always want to stay in so well.
Other Thoughts
Would be nice if they made this in more then one size, or if you were able to buy sections in bigger sizes for larger projects.

Speed Balls by CarrieZ on October 29, 2008 4 stars
Pros
These really do make it easier to slide glass across the grid. With the beetle bits system i tend to catch the edge of the glass on the grid seems. These balls lift the glass up enough to prevent them from catching. The description says to place the balls in the grid along the score line but i have them in various places and it really helps even more.
Cons
Don't lose the rubber cap for moving the balls around, it really is convenient.

Mastercraft 60/40 Solder - 1 lb. by CarrieZ on October 29, 2008 5 stars
Pros
Just like the description says, smooth flow and polishes nicely. I prefer this because it melts at a lower temp then 50/50.
Cons
No cons.
Other Thoughts
I love buying a few of these at a time because I cant buy them local. Even after shipping this is still cheaper then buying lead free at the hardware store.

Bullseye Light Coral Transparent Striker Thin - 90 COE by helix3d (top contributor) on October 29, 2008 5 stars
Pros
Gorgeous color that can be deepened by adding additional layers.
Cons
Until it is fired it is clear (or nearly clear). Easy to get scraps mixed up with clear glass.
Other Thoughts
I keep my small scraps separate and mark my large pieces to avoid mixing them up with clear glass.

More Than You Ever Wanted to Know About Glass Beadmaking by spineflower on October 29, 2008 5 stars
Pros
I have had many other bead books before this one, and this one is probably the most comprehensive. Great reference book!
Cons
Newbies may want to start with something a little more trimmed down.

Power Max II Deluxe Grinder by ranbud on October 28, 2008 4 stars
Pros
Very stable, lightweight.
Cons
The top guard needs to be larger. It throws water everywhere, on you, to the rear and to the left. It is very messy. I actually hung towels around to catch the water that is thrown around. The plastic holder that holds the cooling sponge in place seems to pop up when teh sponge expands, so I was constantly adjusting it as it leaves a ridge on teh surface which interferes with the glass sliding to the grinding wheel, after several adjustments on the sponge, I eliminated this issue.
Other Thoughts
A plastic three sided shield would be great for this as well as something to stop the water from being thrown on your shirt.

Taurus 3 Ring Saw by grumpyjos on October 27, 2008 5 stars
Pros
This saw is a terrific tool for the glass studio! I also have a Diamond Laser Band saw, but the Taurus cuts RINGS around the band saw (Pun totally intended!) Taurus saw can cut in any direction, whereas the band saw only cuts in 1 direction. Comes with a DVD of instructions and cool hints for cutting more than 1 layer at a time. I LOVE IT!!! FAST! FUN! EASY!!!
Cons
My only complaint is the LOUD noise.

Novacan Black Patina For Lead And Solder - 8 Oz by grumpyjos on October 27, 2008 5 stars
Pros
I have been using this product for years. I can depend on it to provide a consisted patina to either lead or solder. It always gives my work an "antique" look. I like the black, but it also comes in copper, brass & dove grey, I think.
Cons
I really have no complaints about this product. ;-)
Other Thoughts
We apply it with a cotton ball, held by a clothes pin so the solution does not get on our hands or clothing. Works GREAT!

Small Sterling Silver Plated Jewelry Bails - 25 Pack by helix3d (top contributor) on October 25, 2008 5 stars
Pros
This is the perfect bail if you want the pad on the back of the pendant (which I almost always do). Has enough surface area on the pad to hold fast. Beautiful as well!
Cons
A bit pricy compared to the thin, flimsy competition.
Other Thoughts
I keep both the silver and gold on hand. Until I discovered these I was drilling holes in my pendants. I don't care how good your adhesive is, a 2mm pad isn't going to hold.
