Product Description

Now it's easier than ever to hang a sun catcher! Just run the line through a connector, then through the hanging loop of the sun catcher, then back through the connector. Crimp shut with pliers. Voila ... no messy ends. Easy-open, re-closable package features a built-in dispenser to keep line tangle free. Thirty feet of 20 lb. black nylon line (connectors # 63909, sold separately).

Pros : Discrete and light way to hang small suncatchers and ornaments. Much less obtrusive than chain. Overall great product. I used it on everything up to about 2 pounds of weight.
Cons : None
Other Thoughts : Crimping the line can be tricky to do. I was never able to get a good crimp with just pliers. I use a bench vise to crimp the connectors securely.

Pros : Might work for very small pieces under 5 inches square.
Cons : Use it to hang anything bigger than 5", and it can't be trusted to support the weight. The line slips through the connectors no matter how tightly they are crimped. And don't crimp them to much or they will crack.
Other Thoughts : Might work better if the connectors were metal. The plastic line itself is strong, but the connectors just don't work well.
