Product Reviews
Pros
I have an old 600 watt microwave that I am using with excellent results. The first firing takes about 8 minutes, but the next one is 5 or 6 minutes. I check to see if it ready by getting eye level to the kiln and lifting the top just enough to see inside. It takes a little practice to be able to tell if the piece is ready. Just be sure to take the kiln out of the microwave and place on a ceramic tile and let it cool for 30 to 40 minutes before lifting the top off. I have not had a single piece crack. I have been very pleased with the results.
Cons
If the kiln was a little larger, I could do more than one piece at a time, but I knew it was small when I ordered it.
Other Thoughts
I was so relieved that the kiln works great in a 600 watt microwave, so if you have a lower watt microwave than 1000 watts, give it a try!
Pros
I use only Lead Free as I have a child in the house and the lead can go through the air vents and everything. I have always known that this is the less preferred method as it is thought that Lead free Solders are harder to work with. I wanted to find one that I could purchase at Delphi with the rest of my supplies. I finally got up the nerve to try this solder and all can say is WOW! I love it! It leaves an even better bead line and "level pools" very nicely. It lets you leave the iron on it a little longer to get the perfect dome without turning too thin and running too quickly. It has even taken the patina better! Granted--I use a scotch pad with Dawn to clean the flux/solder before hand--but I used the same method with other solder and did not have as good results as with the Mastercraft.
Cons
I wish I would have tried it sooner!

Pros
Very easy to use . Really help with squaring up your project and KEEPING it that way!
Cons
None.
Other Thoughts
Would be lost without them!
Pros
Fit well. Grasp the glass snuggly and evenly. Easy to change out.
Cons
None so far.
Other Thoughts
Would highly recommend these replacement tips to anyone looking for a new set of tips. The price is fair for the quality which is fairly thick.
Pros
Larger size is great for most "home" projects. Easy to clean, just brush off with a softer brissel broom. Pin wholes don't seem to bother the texture, nice and thick to make projects to come out even. LOVE! LOVE!
Cons
Be careful with that soldering iron...it will burn pretty easily and quickly!
Other Thoughts
A great addition to our supplies. Much nicer working area to work on than ceiling tiles, although, it works pretty well, ceiling tiles just don't hold up as well.
Pros
I love the diversity and value for money this product offers. Lots of exciting pieces without having to buy lots of big sheets to try patterns out. Great size for jewellery!
Cons
If you find a piece you like it is quite tricky to figure out what it was. Some of the pieces had the 'clip' marks which need to be worked around.
Other Thoughts
This is a great way to try-before-you-buy a bigger piece of the pattern.
Pros
Great for resin-filling!
Cons
Not a standard shape for tracing.
Other Thoughts
Great for polymer clay.
Pros
These were great to get the glass up and organized. Put together in a snap. Highly recommend.
Cons
None.

Pros
I live in South Africa and bought the table foiler via the internet because I wanted an alternative to foiling by hand, and secondly, I love gadgets. I will never foil without it. Fast to use, even on the really small pieces.
Cons
Difficult to line up at first, but with practice, that is no longer a problem.
Other Thoughts
A bit expensive for us in South Africa with our awful exchange rate and import charges, but definitely worth it.
Pros
Tool kit and book are great.
Cons
The Art Clay was dry and hard to work with.

Pros
Usually I have great results with these blades, and have used several of them, and have never had an issue.
Cons
Recently I purchased one & it seemed odd right from the get go, would not align up straight on the wheels, tried all the adjustments that the manual called for, it would just keep coming off the saw, broke after 2 days of use, maybe a faulty blade? I don't know.
Other Thoughts
Still great blades.
