Product Reviews
Pros
Speeds up cutting, made my saw cut much better and faster than new!
Cons
Since the blade is shaped the way it is, it doesn't pivot the way round ones do when you change direction.

Pros
These are very nice, and now the new style has a total of 4 screws for each hanger. Be sure to drill pilot holes with a small drill bit to ensure a perfect fit!
Cons
They RARELY go on sale... if ever!

Pros
I bought some of this glass a while back. I love it so. I am making sure I take a friend to Delphi this coming week to go pick up some more of it.
Cons
I sometimes noticed some of my fracture streamers coming off but I put in kiln and no problem.
Other Thoughts
Pros
The handles on both the piston and the casing make it far easier to use. I especially like the super strong magnet.
Cons
The biggest problem is that both the piston and the interior of the casing are painted. It scrapes off into the glass and isn't removed with the magnet. While this isn't as much of a problem with larger frit sizes where it will be sifted out, if you work with the powdered form, it tends to muddy/mute the colors.
Other Thoughts
Here's a tip for using the magnet: Never drag it directly through the glass--you'll be forever trying to get the filings cleaned off. Instead, drop it into the corner of an envelope, e.g., and drag that through. Then just hold it over your disposal container, pull out the magnet and the filings fall right off. And the white background of the envelope makes it easy to see when you've finally gotten them all.
Pros
These were fantastic. i was wondering how well these would cut. It was a knife through butter. You can easily take scraps and make tiles by the thousands as you sit at a coffee table watching TV.
Cons
Advertising needs to give an idea as to the life of the cutting wheels.

Pros
I cut straight lines free-handed for six years, then finally purchased this Morton Start-Up Kit. The entire kit is dead-on accurate, first for fast and easy 90 degree square cuts and excellent for any possible other angle. I was slow to use the break button as well, but now find it easy to use, especially with larger pieces of glass. I use the rubber buttons to prevent glass slippage all the time and with glass that is really slick, the yellow adjustable Morton blocks save the day, preventing any foul cuts. I save a huge amount of time and glass, since I have no mis-cuts, except when I mis-measure. Using the Morton System is easy, quick to learn and if a person cuts very much glass at all, it pays for itself in no time. Did I mention all the little shards of glass I used to get when cutting in a flat surface? No cuts and no shards in my hands now with the Maxi-Surface. I added to the collection with tool caddies for my markers and the oil cup as well. All worth six stars.
Cons
I find very little to criticize in the Start-Up Kit. In fact, the only thing I can truly criticize is that my pistol-grip cutter shaves microscopic shards off of the aluminum bar, which could only be corrected if the bar were made of a tougher alloy, but then the cutter should not have such a sharp edge, so it is difficult to blame the Morton System swing-arm.
Other Thoughts
I teach private classes and demonstrate the entire Morton System in my Intermediate classes. Students comments in almost every class are the same, "Well, I got to have one of these." Personally, I do not know why I went for so many years before buying one. The technology cannot be beaten.
Pros
Wonderful for preventing cuts on finger tips. Easy to use!
Cons
If left out in non-temperature controlled shop it will become difficult to unroll, but it still works.
Other Thoughts
I found this product to be wonderful. I have tried several other products and I like this one the best!
Pros
I received the Glastar Super Star II Grinder for Christmas this year and have used it for shaping cabochons, earrings and small bowls for fusing and slumping. I have even used the mini table attachment with 1/4" & 1/8" heads to form smaller twists and turns in my glass shapes. I love this grinder. It is easy to use, easy to clean, and fits comfortably on my countertop. I also like the small drawer in the base which holds a couple of extra grinder heads and tools.
Cons
I don't have anything negative to say about this grinder.
Other Thoughts
I use the standard grinder head sold with the grinder for non dichro fusible glass, but use a finer grinding head for dichro to avoid chips on the edges of the dichroic coating. I would recommend purchasing the additional head for grinding dichroic glass.
Pros
Love this product. Edges don't curl. Finish is smoother than the best laid kiln wash.
Cons
Wish there was a roll available somewhere in the mid range. Storage is a problem.

The pistol grip design is not only easier on the hands, but allows you to cut on the inside of a wine bottle to take it apart.
Cons
None that I have found yet...

Pros
Having messed with pieces of came and tried to keep it straight - to no avail - this is the only way to go. Easy to handle with little if any waste. Just cut what you need. No left over pieces to little to use.
Cons
None
Other Thoughts
Pros
ease of use, small size makes it easy to store
Cons
other people that don't know how to use the mold
Other Thoughts
Contrary to other opinions, this mold is great. You MUST be prepared to use your glass grinder and take the sharp edges off of your cabochon when it comes out! Very rarely do you get a perfect cabochon the first time. After grinding the edges, just put it back in the kiln and firepolish. Perfect cabs every time! I loved mine so much I ordered another one so I could make more at a time.
Pros
What a great way to organize and cut glass. Makes it so much easier. I would recommend this item for anyone into stained glass.
Cons

Pros
This saw has the flexibility to cut designs from glass and with a change of blades can slice murrini. I can't imagine how I would slice murrini without this saw.
Cons
It's loud.
Other Thoughts
The video that comes with the saw is great. The saw does not do any damage to your hands if you touch the blade.
Pros
This kit has everything you need to start making beads.
Smaller investment than most torch setups.
Cons
NONE
Other Thoughts
Many beginner bead making classes, include this kit in the price of the class.

Cons
sheets have imperfections like grooves and patches of fine bubbles that remain visible after full fuse firing.
