Product Reviews
Pros
Good coppery shimmer.
Cons
None.
Other Thoughts
As with anything, learn what mica can and cannot do by doing some test tiles. Cap them, don't cap them, but understand that a little is all that's needed (since mica doesn't fuse to the glass.)
Pros
Works great on small pieces.
Cons
None
Other Thoughts
I didn't trust it at first, but after I practiced on scrap glass I found it worked great every time.
Pros
Golden color remains true. Great for a shimmer effect.
Cons
None. It's mica.
Other Thoughts
Mica doesn't fuse to glass so a little is all that's necessary. Capping it makes it a more brilliant shine. Learn what mica does and doesn't do by doing some test tiles. Some micas don't hold up to firing, but this one does.
Pros
It grips well. Does save fingers and helps with fatigue.
Cons
My only problem with it is it sits up high on the grinder shaft. I have the flip bit sleeve, so I just raised it a bit and that helped alot.
Other Thoughts
I am all for anything that saves my fingers. So if you make that one adjustment I mentioned above, it works great.
Pros
Works well. Polishes glass very well. Generous grinding area. Very affordable.
Cons
None.
Other Thoughts
I've been able to "fix" bad bevels (ones that don't fit) and create new ones as well as polish finished pieces of glass.
Pros
No more cut, tender, raw finger tips. Simple tool but I think it is a must have.
Cons
None
Other Thoughts
I've got two so I can use them like pinchers to hold on to certain shapes better.
Pros
This is a great little addition to my shop. Glass does break better with this cushion underneath.
Cons
I wish it was bigger.
Other Thoughts
It cleans up nice and only has a few nicks in it after several years use.
Pros
I have had several cutters and this is my favorite. More comfortable to hold.
Cons
None
Other Thoughts
Others have mentioned it leaking oil, but mine never has. I store it upright in a caddy and it's always ready to go.
Pros
I've only had this saw a couple of months but have already found it to be just what I needed. I like the wire saw blades as opposed to the circular blades that come on other saws. The replacement blades are much more economical too. It doesn't have very many moving parts which is good and it is really sturdy.
Cons
I did have a little trouble putting the first blade in, but once I got it in, it has stayed in and I haven't replaced it yet. But I like that it doesn't fall out either.
Other Thoughts
I put it inside a rubbermaid container, big rectangular one, and that keeps water from splashing all over. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.
Pros
This is a great grinder. I've had mine for 6 years now and never had any trouble with it. Sometimes I look at newer ones and think that would be fun to try, but I can't justify replacing what's not broke! It gets the job done and has been easy to maintain.
Cons
not a one.

Pros
I bought this kit when I starting soldering. It was just what I needed to get started learning how to solder. It has everything you need to learn with on small projects. And it can always be used later on for quick projects too! I ended up buying a bigger and better unit but I never regretted buying this kit and making sure that this was a hobby that I was going to stick with. I us this solder for all kinds of jobs too. And my son has borrowed it for some of his auto speaker needs also. It was a good investment.
Cons
Not many cons to it that I found except as I got better at soldering I found I wanted a stronger solderer but for starting out this one was perfect.
Other Thoughts
Make sure you have the right kind of solder when you are soldering. Like silver for silver and gold for gold. The sold that comes with it does not solder everything. And follow the instructions completely for the best results.
Pros
This beveled glass is so beautiful and at 10 by 10
Makes a large stinning piece of art. I used emeral green waterglass and changed out the heart for a red waterglass this piece was so beautiful. I ordered another one to make for a friend.
Cons
If your going to use a solid piece of glass in the middle it is tricky cutting it out. But worth the effert.
Other Thoughts
Pros
Looks nice after fired. It adds a little more than just a plan black.
Cons
If under a clear leaves a crackled look where you can see the plan black under.
Other Thoughts
It is perfect for the eye shin look of animals. About it leaving the cracked under clear I actually like that look. But its not for all pieces.
Pros
These work wonderful and turn out super cute.
Cons
Other Thoughts
They hold slightly large pieces of fuzes glass around nickle size that are just so cute for all ages.
Pros
They work well and hold up nicely.
Cons
Other Thoughts
I have found that they also work nicely on small necklaces.
Pros
They are perfect for large necklaces. They also work for medium sized necklace pretty well without looking to big. They hold up well too. Good for pieces ment for everyday use.
Cons
They are far to large to be used on all pieces.
Other Thoughts
Over all great for necklaces.
Pros
The rubber tips can be removed but do not just come off on their own this is great for more confined places. The different sizes make them great for fuzing with all size pieces of glass.
Cons
Other Thoughts
They were just what I was looking for and work excellent.
Pros
Beautiful caramel color holds true with firing.
Cons
More of a caramel color than pumpkin.
Other Thoughts
Perfect for fall designs.
Pros
Absolutely beautiful deep, rich, shocking pink. Bullseye glass is traditionally NOT used for stained glass, and any glass listed as a striker only develops its full color in the kiln at the proper temperature.
Cons
None, except that it is expensive!
Other Thoughts
Cut your own strips to use instead of rods when making beads, and you'll save some money. Hot colors like this only need the core to be fuchsia, then cover with clear to dilute a bit. Not that expensive when done that way!
