Product Reviews
Pros
Just started out in flameworking and this rod is easy to work and I got great results with the basic starter kit equipment.
Cons
None that I've found so far.

A great little grinder for the money. Seems well made and was easy to assemble. The motor is strong and makes easy work of grinding imperfections out of my fused glass pieces. I have no problem holding even the smallest jewelry pieces I make up to the grinding bit -- smooth, rotating action!
Pros
Easy to use, easy to install, perfectly smooth groove
Cons
none

I bought these for my Gryphette Grinder so I could make grooves in my fused glass pendants for wire wrapping. These work perfect!
Pros
I really like this on a roll. I have it on a spool holder on my work bench. I would recommend this to anyone.
Cons
I wish this product came in a non-lead alternative for other art projects

Pros
looks like thin fishing lines thrown on a flat surface and glass poured over it simulating the roweling effect of antique glass. Have used it for several windows and cabinets as it allows someone to see moderately clearly through it without being too distorting. Yet it gives the look looks of old antique glass...
A nice effect for background glass to the pattern in windows and cabinets. The surface look of the striations still gives a visual 'barrier'.
Like others have said, it cuts easily, breaks along scribe-line easily. It also grinds easily. I've not tried to cut it with a saw yet, but find no reason it should not cut well.
Cons
So far I've found none.. I have used it on 4 major window projects and two cabinet projects.

Pros
Have had my 3000XL for 5 years now and have used this blade consistently except for one time! The cheaper blade lasted about 1/4 as long as the premium blade. I have never had a premium blade break and by the time I am finished with it, there isn't any coating on it!
Cons
Wish it lasted longer!
Other Thoughts
Pros
I have used the smallest one and have not had any bad issues. Cuts well.
Cons
Glass core can be a little difficult to remove from bit.

Pros
Glassline pens are great to use for fine detail. Recommended to fire at 1500, however, I have also fired them as low as 1375 and I have been pleased. This kit has so many great colors. I purchased the kit for the colors you can not purchase individually (for me, brown & grey). However, I ended up loving some of the others that I had not considered. The price is also better for the kit and a set of tips are included.
Cons
Some of the colors can be thicker and therefore more difficult to apply. I find that frustrating. Be sure to shake the colors VERY well before using. They can be very watery also. I always test on a piece of paper before applying to my work.
Also, check your piece before firing to look for smudges & cracking if applied to thick. These can be corrected by "scratching" them off with a toothpick. It is easier than trying to wipe off small mistakes when the glassline is still wet.
Other Thoughts
I suggest firing a tester with all of the colors on it to use for future review. It is very helpful to see the "true" color after firing. I would also suggest purchasing extra tips with this kit. I love working with the tips for precision. I "plug" my tips with straight pins with the colored balls on them. Great way to keep them sealed with the tips still on. I clean my tips by letting them dry out, scraping them out with toothpick and then soaking in nail polish remover to get out the final residue. Works great!
Pros
This is a nice assortment of glass. What amazing results you can get with a little imagination.
Cons
none.

Pros
Beautiful glass. Perfect for a grass landscape. Full color on all the glass without spots that are un-usable. Bright colors even without the sun behind the glass. Highly recommend.
Cons
I didn't order larger pieces.
Other Thoughts
Pros
This santa is very cute and convenient!
Cons
The glass was dirty needed to be washed before used. You have to buy silicone glue separate to add on the provided belt buckle, glasses, etc. It would have been nice for a little packet to be provided.
Other Thoughts
Pros
For the price this is a great beginners kiln. However if you get hooked you out grow it real fast
Cons
Just a bit small
Other Thoughts
I have been having a blast with it till I can get the funds to get a larger one
Pros
If you already have glass tiles on sheets you may find the sheets made on this smaller than those. I got these to make accent areas of tile. I will have to make the sheets already made over again with the grid to make them the same size. But these tiles fit perfect in the grid if I take them off the paper and re do them. The difference is simply the grout lines. These grids make a smaller grout line, and would rather have a smaller grout line. So what may be a CON to some is a PRO to me. I like the grids, and they are cheaper than some I have seen. The others may be the ones that the grout lines that come out larger too.
Cons
None for me
Other Thoughts
Pros
Easy to use; good quality
Cons
Would like to see a larger package of bails- you can use these up so fast
Other Thoughts
Pros
great glass for mosaics, cuts like butter, can touch up back with a black paint pen if it gets scratched.
Cons
should be treated like mirror, but not a real problem. Should be ground using the fine grit. I use a piece of window screen on top of my grinder and grind it with the backing facing up

I'm a mosaic artist.I live in the town where van gogh glass is made. I use it quite often in my work; and to be a hand painted product it is very close from batch to batch sheet to sheet, I have used it for years, It's sole purpose is mosaics, but works for wall hangings and boxes, etc
