1" Ultra Fine Twofers Grinding Bits - 2 Pack by helix3d (top contributor) on February 10, 2009 5 stars
Pros
Prevents chipping of mirror or dichroic glass when grinding. Affordable.
Cons
Ultra fine bits are slow going. But you'll need them to prevent chipping.

Studio Pro 3/8" Breaker / Grozer Pliers by beadman3420 on February 10, 2009 5 stars
Pros
It really does assist in making a clean break Assists in safety in that I feel it reduces the risk of getting cut by glass pieces
Cons
none
Other Thoughts
This has really helped my with my glass cutting. I am able to get cleaner breaks. Prior to my purchasing this item I would always hope that my glass would come close to the shape I needed.

12" Add-On Layout Blocks by firelightsg on February 8, 2009 5 stars
Pros
layout blocks are basic stained glass construction equipment. With 12" and 3" pieces, you can come up with a good combination of lengths for your work layout.
Cons
I would like a package of just 3" layout blocks to be markets as well as the 3" and 12".

6" Layout Block System by firelightsg on February 8, 2009 4 stars
Pros
These are handy to have on hand when the larger piece need more length. They are small and avoid awkward excess layout block sticking off the end of my project. I tend to use more of the six inch pieces, and keep several projects in various stages of completion, so these are put to good use.
Cons
They accommodate small to large projects best, and I have longer layout blocks I use for large projects.

Splash Shield With Bottle by firelightsg on February 8, 2009 4 stars
Pros
I love this splash shield because it is tall and has a reinforced top edge to hang my splash bottle. I use the splash bottle form my upper grid on one grinder to keep the 1/4 inch bit wet. On another grinder, I use the bottle to add extra water to the grinding disk. The Slash shield has plenty of room to accommodate longer pieces of glass. It's a great product.
Cons
I use a 30" wide by 18" deep space to set the grinder and splash shield on. It's never been a problem, but some people with a small work area might not want to use that much room.

Fuseworks Microwave Kiln by beadman3420 on February 7, 2009 5 stars
Pros
Very easy to use Excellent results Great for beginners who want nice pieces without the big expense. Fantastic way to practice so you can move into a bigger kiln Buy it!!!!! What do you have to lose
Cons
Can be a bit tricky at first but don't let this fool you!!!!! A bit pricey, but then again, I think it is unique and good technology
Other Thoughts
I LOVE this kiln. I am a beginner in the glass bead making community. Having made some real cool pieces with my hot head, I thought I would try this. I am getting awesome results and starting to build my stock for some spring and summer art shows. You really can't make a mistake because even the mistakes turn out cool. I have a dedicated microwave that I just use for my glasswork. Don't let this bother you. You can pick one up for little money at a rummage sale or a resale shop. I can't say enough good things about this kiln.

Diamond Hand Pad Assortment - 4 Pack by peggymelody on February 7, 2009 5 stars
Pros
I am extremely happy with these hands pads. They work really well to clean up the edges of the glass prior to fusing. They will also remove a little nib along the edge of the glass prior to or after firing.
Cons
They are fairly expensive.

Spectrum Solid White Opal by addg786 on February 6, 2009 4 stars
Pros
Inexpensive for what you get; shipment packing was excellent as there was no breakage in shipment; 12x pieces seems to be the break on the shipping cost
Cons
Don't count on the pieces being exactly 12 by 12. Can be off by as much as a inch.

Studio 8 Viewing Window by maricenogle on February 6, 2009 5 stars
Pros
I purchased this to go with the kiln that I teach with and my students love being able to watch the fusing process.
Cons
It is a bit expensive when purchased separately.
Other Thoughts
Works with all of my 8" kilns and is great to use with students or beginners so the temperature remains constant.

5/64" Round U Hobby Lead Came Rolled & Bagged – 6 ft Piece by Julieann on February 6, 2009 4 stars
Pros
I am just learning how to work with lead came and I found this product easy to learn with. I was able to stretch it without too much difficulty and because it is small, it was more forgiving with my mistakes.
Cons
I ordered 10 pieces and they all came rolled together in 1 bag. Removing one piece turned into a tangled mess.

Morton Glass Caddy by Julieann on February 6, 2009 5 stars
Pros
Small enough to fit in my selving and big enough to hold 10 pieces of glass very neatly. I love to choose glass for a project and have it all together, organized, and ready to work with.
Cons
Only comes in one size. It would be nice to have a larger size with more slots.
