Product Description

Get Glowing! Works with ALL COE's!
CBS has brought you the highest quality pigment on the market today. This glow powder is 100% pigment and has not been diluted, meaning your pieces will have the brightest glow possible! Pigments add subtle color to your art in the light, and luminous detail in the dark.

Compatible with all COEs, this accent is perfect for adding detail to dichroic glass, unique beads, castings, lampworking and more. When mixing your glow pigment with glass powder use a ratio of 1 part glow pigment to 4 parts glass powder, roughly 20% glow pigment and 80% glass powder. Glow powder should all be capped to give a smooth texture to your art and prevent pigment from wearing away.

A single minute of light exposure will provide subtle luminescence for a short time. For longer glow times and brighter illumination expose to sunlight. Exact glow times may vary depending on multiple factors, including light exposure time, quality of light used for exposure (full-spectrum daylight is best), and ratio of pigment used in your project. Glow powder is safe to use: non-toxic, non-carcinogenic, non-flammable, non-radioactive and non-hazardous. 1 ounce. Aqua glow pigment appears pale yellow but creates  vibrant aqua glow.

Trick of the Trade: Glow pigment must be capped or encased inside glass layers. Do not exceed 1800 degrees. Always keep dry.

Delphi Tip: To create glow in the dark castings, line your mold with clear or transparent frit, then add glow powder mixed with powder frit. Cap with another layer of frit before firing.

Use Glow Powder to:

  • Make glass moons and stars to create a "night sky" that glows
  • Add glow detail to beads and flameworked sculptures
  • Create a glowing message in your fused art - use the Powder Vibe to apply detailed designs.

Pros : This isn't the weak glow like you find in cheap plastic stars, I could READ by the light of the vial I put this in to carry it with it charging up just sitting on top of my workspace. Also, very much a bluish aqua color, not the green you get with those.
Cons : It comes in a small plastic zipper baggie, that will gladly leak if you don't put it in a more durable container. It doesn't fuse in and of itself, very much an inclusion, and when put in the bottom of a mold (mixed with clear powder as per instructions) it did leave a rough texture.
Other Thoughts : Be careful how you use it, a little goes a LONG way. Also it's not clear itself, and behind "white" opal glass it couldn't get enough light to glow much so too thick will waste it, and on the back of a super thick piece you'll loose some utility. But I used this in light switch cover, and it worked great. Used it with some paperweights, worked great.

Whether you’re making a fused glass project or a unique piece of glass jewelry, why not let it really shine by adding some glowing pigment? CBS Aqua Glow is a powder that works well with glass fusing as well as fused glass jewelry. While it appears yellowish in color, once exposed to a prolonged light source such as a lamp or the sun, it illuminates in an illustrious aqua color in the darkness. What’s neat about this pigment is that it reflects a gentle color to the art you create when you see it in the light. But once the lights go out, it becomes even more spectacular. CBS Aqua Glow is compatible with all COEs too and that makes it an excellent pigment to use when creating anything from glass beads to lampworking and beyond. If you’d like to use this pigment in your next glass project, you’ll want
