Cameos can be found in art dating to 3 BC in Greece and Rome, and have enjoyed many resurgences in popularity as objects of art and jewelry throughout history. Having appeared as pendants, brooches, signet rings, and even in the crowns of royalty, these delicate relief designs offer a bit of romantic elegance. Create unique jewelry with an updated twist on the cameo - make your own cast glass dragonfly cameo jewelry. The 2-1/2" x 2-3/4" mold produces a single 1-1/2" x 2" trapezoid pendant with a detailed relief design and a hole for easy hanging. Coat molds with ZYP Boron Nitride Spray or casting mold primer before use. See size perspective of mold with quarter images shown. Mold uses 28 grams of frit or scrap glass. Glass molds let you create functional art pieces by adding textures, slumping your fused glass into platters, bowls plates and cast glass into tiles, jewelry or unique embellishments for larger pieces. Delphi offers a huge supply of slumping, casting and jewelry molds.
Delphi Tip: Always use kiln wash appropriate for your project to prevent glass from sticking to the molds.
